Mr. H. M. Issa, the esteemed founder and director of Rúhíyyih School, was recently honoured with the prestigious "Francis Fanthome Lifetime Achievement Award" by the West Bengal chapter of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations board. In 1985, together with his wife, Mr. Issa established Rúhíyyih School in Jorebunglow, near Ghoom, in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. The school was named in honour of Madam Rúhíyyih Rabbáni, a renowned advocate for education and humanitarian service.
